About Steppers Construction

Steppers Construction began as a small partnership on small residential and site clearing projects in the early 1980’s. It quickly grew to $2 to $3 million per annum, and profits were invested back into the company to purchase new equipment, facilities, and real estate.

Centrally located in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Steppers’ facilities have grown to include a 13,000 square-foot shop and administration offices. The current staff includes two crucial full-time staff members, Director of Operations and Project Manager and Estimator who lead a team of with highly trained and qualified personnel.

Aspen has thirteen years of management and financial institution experience, as well as eight years in Alaskan construction. Mrs. Sanders oversees all administrative aspects for Steppers by utilizing Sage Software System, which manages accounts, project budgets, contract compliance, and fleet management. Mrs. Sanders also has experience with Submittal Exchange for project submittals, information requests, and document review for projects above $3 million.

Forrest has over fifteen years of experience in both equipment operation and carpentry construction. He has established a reputation for getting things done on time with minimal call-backs. Forrest is involved in each project, from the initial bid to final completion, to make sure that the results not only meet but exceed the client’s expectations.
